Please join us this Sunday!

What To Expect

We know trying a new church can be difficult and we hope to make your visit as welcoming and smooth as possible. Below are a few key things that you may want to know for your visit with us! We look forward to meeting you soon.

When are your services?

We have Sunday worship services in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. Our Traditional service begins at 8:30am and concludes by 9:30am. In-between our services we have Sunday school classes for all ages at 9:45am. Our Contemporary service begins at 11am and concludes by noon. Sunday evenings we have a different service at 6:00pm. We also have children’s programs and Adult Bible studies available throughout the building on Sunday & Wednesday nights. Click HERE to see our upcoming events!

How is the service structured?

Included in the service is a time of welcome from one of our pastors followed by worship through song, prayer, and giving as we prepare our hearts for hearing God’s Word. The services will conclude with worship and prayer. There is always an opportunity to pray with our pastor or another church leader after each service.

Each Sunday, we have a worship bulletin that contains information about the Sunday services as well as information about our ministries and announcements for upcoming events. You can receive this bulletin from a Greeter outside the worship center.

What is the difference between your Traditional and Contemporary service?

The biggest difference between our services is the worship experience. We offer two services for two worship preferences. You can attend our traditional hymn-based service, or our upbeat contemporary service. In all that we do, we strive to worship in a way that brings glory to God and God alone. Where are you located?

We have two buildings at 3208 S Van Buren St. Our North Building is our sanctuary, church offices, library, and holds several Sunday school class rooms. Right across the street we have our South Building which holds all of our Kidsville Children’s Ministries, Youth, Two Fishes Recording Studio, and Fellowship Hall. Downstairs you will find the Fellowship Hall and the Nursery. Upstairs is Youth, Studio, Sunday school classrooms, and KidsConnect children’s church. We know trying a new church and finding your way around can be confusing, please let us know if you need help finding anything on a Sunday morning.

Is there childcare or children’s church?

One of our great passions here at Temple is that children are always excited to attend with their family. There is childcare, through age 4, available during all Sunday and Wednesday services. We have a security system which requires parents to drop off and pick up their children using a pager system. Children ages 5 years old thru 2nd grade can experience “KidsConnect” on Sunday mornings from 11am-noon! This is a worship experience for Kids while their parents focus on God’s Word in the Contemporary Service. For more information on childcare and our children’s ministry click here!

When you visit…

Please fill out the registration tab attached to the bulletin that you receive and place it in the offering plate. This will allow you to write down any questions you may have, and also allow us to connect with you. There are greeters and ushers located in the main parking lot, south building, and worship center that would love to help you with anything that you might need during your visit. Finally, our Senior Pastor, Scott Higginbotham, will be in the foyer following each service to meet you personally and welcome you.
